Amal Clooney
Amal Clooney is an American-Lebanese barrister, human rights activist and philanthropist. She was born Amal Ramzi Amuddin. The graduate of Oxford University School of Law in addition to New York University School of Law is recognized internationally for her work and accomplishments in the areas of international human rights law. The clients she has worked with have been numerous nation states, including the state of Armenia in its fight to be recognized as the Armenian Genocide by the Turkish government. Amal Clooney got engaged to American actor George Clooney to marry him in 2014. The couple instantly became an iconic name in pop entertainment. Years earlier, Amal Clooney had been known for her success in representing her clients in court and earned a good name. She has tackled human and civil rights as well as representing multi-national corporations in court cases as well as negotiations regarding federal regulations. From 2015 onwards, Doughty Street Chambers is located in London. She has been a barrister.
