Matthew Matt James is a North Carolina native born on 5 December, 1991. James is the son of Manny and Patty James and is of mixed race. The mother of Manny James was caucasian while his father was Nigerian. In 2010 he graduated at Sanderson High School and furthered to Wake Forest University where he received a Bachelor's degree from Economics in the year 2015. James gained fame after he appeared on screen for his debut as a reality star on The Bachelorette. The Bachelor season 25 premiered in 2021. The next Bachelor was James who was one of the very first African American to play the main part. James seemed to be the perfect match to be the role because He is attractive, well-rounded, large-bodied personality. Rachael Krokconnell won the show by allowing James to establish an affair with her. In the 30th season (in 2021) of Dancing with the Stars, He competed against the legendary dancing star Arnold. James along with Arnold finished 12th.
