Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress who works in TV and film is best known for films like Rush as well as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Born as the only children of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu Alexandra stepped into the show business at an early age and was being the lead in a variety of series on TV by the time she reached the age of 16. After the critically-acclaimed performance in the show Der Tunnel, Alexandra went on to play other noteworthy roles such as Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge on Downfall. The film was nominated for an Oscar and received critical acclaim. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex as well as The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films featuring the diva. Alexandra was involved in a variety of notable worldwide and national productions over the years. This includes those of the British biographical Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time as well as French historic Miniseries Napoleon. Also, she was on the jury at the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
